Stage-It
Stage-It records where a picked part is set down while it waits for its truck. Your picker scans the part, then scans the shelf, bin or lane it goes on. Nobody has to guess where a part went, and nobody has to hunt for it at load time.
The Problem
- A picked part is left on a shelf with no record of it
- Everyone guesses which shelf it ended up on
- The part gets hunted for again at load time
- No way to see how long a part has been sitting
- No way to see which areas are filling up

Every Picked Part Has an Address
Scan It, Then Scan the Spot
Open Stage-It on the scanner. Scan a part, a Pick-It label or a container, then scan the staging area it goes in. If the part is on more than one invoice, the scanner opens a list so the picker chooses the right one.
One Scan for a Whole Container
Scan a container and every piece still inside it is staged at once. No opening it up, no scanning parts one at a time.
Change It Without Starting Over
Tap a staged part to change how many pieces are in that area, or scan another area to move them. Tap a staged container to see its parts and pieces, move it, or unstage it.
Load-It Shows Where It Is
The Invoices tab in Load-It shows which staging area each part and each container is sitting in. Your loader walks straight to it.
A Staged Parts Report
Under PickIt > Reports, in the Picking Activity group: Parts Staged, Pieces Staged, Invoices, Staging Areas and Stagers, plus Still Waiting, Avg Wait, Longest Wait, Staged Cost and Staged Sale.
See Which Areas Are Busiest
A Staging Areas panel lists where parts were placed, busiest first, so you can see where the crush is. Your invoice screens pick up a Staged column too.
How Stage-It Works
Open Stage-It
Your picker opens Stage-It on the scanner with the parts they just picked.
Scan What You Are Staging
Scan a part, a Pick-It label or a container. If the part is on more than one invoice, pick the invoice from the list.
Scan the Staging Area
Scan the shelf, bin or lane you are setting it on. The spot is recorded right then.
Everyone Can See It
Load-It shows the area the part is in, and the Staged Parts report counts it.
What Stage-It Changes
Scan what you are staging, then scan the area it goes in.
One container scan stages every piece still inside it.
Load-It names the staging area each part is waiting in.
Set It Up the Way You Work
Name Your Own Staging Areas
Go to PickIt > Settings > Staging Areas and set up the shelves, bins and lanes your pickers already use. Add one at a time, or use Add Several to number a whole run from a prefix. Rename them right in the list, duplicate one, delete one, or search for the one you want.
Give Every Area a Printed Label
Each staging area can have a printed label. Stick it on the shelf and your pickers scan it instead of typing a name, which keeps the record clean and the scanning fast.
Decide If Staging Counts as Picking
The Staging Rules card has two switches: Require picking before staging and Require packing before staging. Leave them off and staging a part also marks it picked and packed, which suits a small counter. Turn them on and staging is its own step, so the scanner will say something like "Pick those parts before staging them."
You Choose Who Gets It
Stage-It is a permission, found under PickIt > Settings > Drivers in Section Access. Your dealership needs PickIt turned on, and a user has to sign out of the scanner and back in before the section shows up. It arrived in scanner version 127 on September 11, 2026.
