Stocking
Record parts as they are put away. Your counter staff scan the part, then scan the bin they are putting it in. A bin the part does not belong in is turned down, so parts do not end up where nobody will find them again.
The Problem
- Parts get put away with no record of it
- A part lands in a bin it does not belong in
- Nobody can find the part again later
- The bin on file is wrong and no one notices
- No way to see who put a part away
Our Solution
- Scan the part, scan the bin - the put-away is recorded
- A bin the part does not belong in is turned down
- The part card shows the bins you may stock into
- Refused scans point you at bins that are wrong on file
- The Stocking report shows who stocked what
Put-Aways You Can Trust
Two Scans and Done
Open Stocking on the scanner. Scan the part, then scan the bin you are putting it in. The put-away is recorded.
Wrong Bins Are Turned Down
A bin the part does not belong in is turned down on the spot. Parts do not get put away where nobody will find them again.
The Part Card Tells You Where
Stock to lists the bins the part can be stocked into. Also in lists the other bins it sits in. Stocked in shows where it went.
A New Stocking Report
Under Reports on your dashboard: every part stocked, who stocked it, the bin they scanned and the bins the part has on file. Exports to PDF and Excel.
Refused Scans Only
Tick Refused Scans Only to see just the scans that were turned down. It is a quick way to find parts whose bin on file is wrong.
Counts on Your Dashboard
Your dashboard counts stocking scans for today, this week and month to date. Each number links straight into the report.
How Stocking Works
Open Stocking
Your counter staff open Stocking on the scanner and start putting parts away.
Scan the Part
The part card shows the bins the part can be stocked into and any other bins it sits in.
Scan the Bin
Scan the bin you are putting it in. A bin the part does not belong in is turned down.
It's Recorded
The put-away is recorded and lands in the Stocking report on your dashboard.
What Stocking Changes
Scan the part, then scan the bin. That is the whole job.
A bin the part does not belong in is turned down on the spot.
Every part stocked, who stocked it and the bin they scanned.
Set It Up the Way You Work
You Pick Which Bins Count
You decide which bins can be stocked into. Settings > Scanning has new Allow Stocking to Bin 2 and Allow Stocking to Bin 3 switches. Both start turned on.
You Choose Who Gets It
Stocking is a permission, so you control who has it. Everyone who had an account when it was released already has it. New users need it added, and a user has to sign out of the scanner and back in before the section appears.
Count the Pieces if You Want To
The scanner's settings tab has a Quantity toggle. Turn it on and staff scan the part, scan the bin, then key how many pieces went in. An Auto-Print toggle sits on the same tab.
Find the Bins That Are Wrong on File
Every refused scan is a part whose bin on file may be wrong. Tick Refused Scans Only on the Stocking report to list them, then fix the ones that need it.
